Just what I needed August 24, 2010 bwbelle Product is exactly what we needed. It was impossible to find any where else. Quick delivery and excellent service.
This is firewire, not USB August 21, 2010 Ryan Hall (Williamsville, NY) The name of this item is misleading. It is not USB, it is firewire, and not compatible with Windows 7. Do not buy this if you use Windows 7.
Terrible August 4, 2010 FSB (Akron, Ohio) This cord did not work for me. I needed it to transfer video files for firewire to USB. Nope.
What the heck do you use it for? November 26, 2009 B. Williams I was planning on using this as an alternative to firewire for my camcorder, but apparently IEEE 19yaddayadda wasn't the 4 pin mini-type USB equivalent... I probably should have checked that before hand. If you need it for the mini-USB thing then buy it; it's a very nice product.

I have Windows Vista, and I needed a cable for a Canon ZR 500. This is not a piece for Mini Dv cameras. I was not able to use it.
