 Just what we needed July 22, 2010

We use my lap top to watch videos on the TV. We were using a plain S-video cable and a pair of speakers set up on either side of the TV. Because of the need for speakers, the length was limited and the sound as well. Now, we use this cable and we don't have to worry about the distance or the sound. It has plenty of length so I don't have to get up to click through the commercials (I don't want to sound lazy but a lot of internet commercials are much louder than the show and I had to bolt to mute it or risk waking the baby) or change the show. I can use my regular TV remote to control the sound. It is exactly what we needed to watch shows from my computer. Oh yeah, and we paid less for this on Amazon than we did for the first s-video cable that we bought in a store.
Good for watching shows and movies on your tv July 18, 2010

I use this cable to use an old TV as a second monitor for watching movies and the likes. It works as advertised, and personally, a lot of videos look better than they do on a computer monitor. However, don't expect legibility on old crt tv's as it is very blurry and hard to read on screen.

The cable is long enough to connect from my dell laptop to the tv. The picture quality is reasonable and the sound quality is very good. I enjoy watching netflix movies here. A recommended one from me.
