General Purpose Cable, 1 EA September 3, 2010 Carl Brown (Warrenton, VA USA) What can I say -- it does it's job. It's a cable.
It hooks from a full-size Display Port and makes a DVI (Single Link) monitor work.
It's a boring looking cable which is why I gave it 4 vs. 5 stars. But, it's been doing it's duty for a month and seems well made. Oh, and the price is excellent. So, It's 5 star for price, 3 star for looks, 4 star for doing it's job. Avg: 4 stars.
??? May 7, 2010 J. Hager (South Texas, USA) Can't seem to get the DP setting to work on display/PC. Working with Lenovo on issue. Not too impressed with the DP technology. Apparently using the adapter is causing an issue, although I don't know why. Adapters for VGA to DVI work fine, why would there be an issue going from DP (display) to DVI (video card in PC)? Don't think it's the adapters (bought 2) though.
not much of a use to me April 1, 2010 Muhammad Riaz (United Arab Emirates) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
bought isnt much of a use to me because my video card requires an active display port adapter which is around 100 dollars..i recommend checking before buying
Works fine March 9, 2010 Grejam (US) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My work supplied Lenovo T500 has a Display Port which this works fine with. They seem to be one of the few companies that use DP. Nice resolution. Otherwise I can't have two external screens.
Cheap and Easy February 1, 2010 M. McNamara (Illinois) I had previously purchased another adapter, but because of the fact that it was rigid and made out of solid plastic the DVI and the adapter wouldn't fit together. This provided the extra distance to make sure there was enough clearance.
