This cable was the perfect connection between my Macbook and my TV for viewing all the TV shows and baseball games I watch online. The downside is that no audio is transmitted, so the only sound is still out of your computer, but otherwise I love it.

This adapter is just what I have been looking for, and for a lot less money than any of my local stores. It works great with my MacBook. The 6 foot extension gives me lots of flexibility. I couldn't be happier with the product quality, performance, or price. As for the company, the first shipment was not correct. Sometimes mistakes happen. I was reassured to know Amazon was with me every step of the way to correct the problem. I thought it might be a hassle -- but they responded quickly, and in just over a week I had placed my order, received the wrong item, contacted the company, AND received the correct item. Definitely a great example of "customer service".

I bought this to go from my (late 2009) iMac to my HDTV and found that it would not work. It is VERY difficult from the descriptions, photos and reviews to tell what this adapter is for - but BE WARNED - it is NOT to go from a 2009 iMac to anything. I'm sure this adapter is fine and that it works with the Mac that it's intended to work with (Macbooks, maybe other Macs) - it just doesn't work with mine.

Works perfectly for the mini-dvi ports on Macbooks purchased prior to fall 2008. If your computer is more recent, you have the mini display port, and need a different cable. Also, before purchasing be sure that your HDTV has an RCA (the red and white audio jacks) input associated with one of the HDMI inputs. DVI does not carry audio, so you'll have to buy a separate Y-cable for sound.
Knocked the product down a couple of stars because the mini-dvi end doesn't "lock in" tightly to the Macbook, and it is easy to briefly lose the signal to the tv if you accidentally nudge your computer.
